“We cannot afford four more years of this,” he said.

Barack Obama was not holding back as he made his return to the campaign trail in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday (Oct. 21) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

During his speech, the former president said Donald Trump has proven he is “incapable of taking the job seriously” and has not shown any interest in “helping anybody but himself and his friends.”

“I never thought Donald Trump would embrace my vision or continue my polices, but I did hope for the sake of the country that he might show some interest in taking the job seriously,” Obama said. “But it hasn’t happened. He hasn’t shown any interest in doing the work or helping anybody but himself and his friends.”

Obama also shed light on the way the president mishandled the Coronavirus pandemic — a key issue for the 2020 election. He said that Trump recently said there is “not much” he would change about the country’s response to the virus — even though over 200,000 Americans have died from COVID-19.

“Really?” Obama asked. “Not much? Nothing you can think of that could have helped some people keep their loved ones alive?” The former president told the spectators that they should be tailgating at a Philadelphia Eagles game instead of watching his speech from their vehicles.

Obama also touched on the recent reports that Trump has a secret Chinese bank account. According to The New York Times, Trump’s tax records reveal that he has three foreign accounts — in China, Ireland and Britain. The president’s team claims he opened the account in China “to explore the potential for hotel deals in Asia.”

“How is that possible? A secret Chinese bank account,” Obama asked the crowd. “Listen, can you imagine if I had had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for reelection?” he added. “You think Fox News might have been a little concerned about that? They would have called me Beijing Barry.”
